Designing a lifting equipment to recover the tunnel boring machine (TBM) head, weighing 90 tons, from the seabed following a horizontal drilling that emerged in open sea.
How did we solve it?
We designed and built a lifting beam with several eyebolts for the attachment of slings, positioned so that the TBM’s center of gravity was perfectly aligned. Additionally, we provided all the necessary certifications, including the DNV-ST-0378, specific for offshore lifting equipment.
